Located in the heart of Notting Hill, moments from the tube and the famous Portobello Market, When Abby Met Claud is the spot to take you from brunch to dinner and right through to late night food and drinks.
The clue really is in the name here, Abby and Claud met at boarding school in 2001 where they soon bonded over their West London upbringing and love of Britney and JLo, oh, and Justin Timberlake! From their first meeting it was clear these two were going to be friends, both fun spirited and always the centre of trouble- if the boarding house walls could talk…Boarding Mistress, Miss Lewis once described Claud and Abby as the naughtiest girls in the school’s history – but that was quite some time ago, surely someone else has taken that crown…
Abby and Claud’s friendship has stood the test of time, not one argument to date, in fact. Being each others rocks in the bad times, and biggest cheerleaders throughout, they have embraced female solidarity at it’s best, leading these two girls to embark on an adventure together opening a restaurant in Notting Hill, and WAMC is what eventually happened When Abby Met Claud!
“We want WAMC to feel exactly like mine and Claud’s friendship; fun and welcoming, with a whole lot of laughter, and cocktails of course!”
“The idea is to bring fun, familiarity and something new for the customers. To create the perfect place to catch up with friends over a coffee, or celebrate with the whole gang with our bottomless offering.”
Our DJ Brunches kick off from 2pm and are filled to the brim of revellers kicking their weekend off in true WAMC style! From £25 bubbles are poured freely for 90 mins, and for £28 you can add bottomless brunch cocktails. Food is bought in addition, from the Full WAMC to the indulgent French Toast, no one will leave disappointed.
Our menu is created to provide something for everyone. Our brunch menu boasts the fluffiest Buttermilk pancakes to a classic Full English along with some dishes created from Abby and Claud’s travels, our new favourite The Halloumi Stack is inspired from Claud’s time living in Coogee, Sydney.
The evening menu is intended to share among freinds and family, the exact way Abby and Claud love to dine. Small plates include charred corn ribs and salmon tartare tartlets, followed by larger plates including Jerk Chicken on a plantain waffle and Shortrib resting on a large croquette!
